Social is SEO and Content is Social

No, I didn't coin the phrase that I used as the title of this blog post...  A friend of mine tweeted a link to the following graphic and I thought it did a really good job of explaining what I try to explain to clients and potential clients.  Here's a link to the original post:  www.is.gd/cQ8zfZ  (Infographic: Why Content for SEO?, by Search Engine Land Infographics)

Should you outsource Social Media?

This is an interesting topic...  if you type the title of this blog post into your favorite search engine you'll get a lot of varying opinions.  The answer (IMHO) is most of the time "YES" and some of the time "NO".  Here's what I mean:

Facebook, Google + and Twitter

Let me preface this by saying this is my opinion.  I've ready MANY blogs posts and articles on this topic and have been fascinated by the comments of friends and colleagues of mine on Facebook.  Reality is I might look back in 6 months at this post and say "wow, you really missed on that one".

Word of mouth is the best form of advertising

It's circa 1986 and I'm at the University of Florida and taking "Advertising 101".  It's my first class and I still remember (amazingly) after all of these years being taught that despite the millions and millions that any particular advertiser might spend, the most effective form of advertising will always be "word of mouth".
